Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

Eldenhall Research LLC (“Eldenhall,” “we,” “us”) is a US-registered limited liability company located at 117 South Lexington Street, Suite 100, Harrisonville, MO 64701, United States. These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase and use of our Pre-Submission Independent Manuscript Evaluation service and your use of this website.

2. Nature of the service

Our service is an independent academic manuscript evaluation performed before journal submission. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The evaluation is independent of all journals and publishers and is not an official journal peer review.
  • The evaluation does not guarantee acceptance by any journal. Editorial decisions rest solely with the journals to which you submit.
  • Eldenhall does not represent, act for, or hold any affiliation with any publisher or journal.
  • The purpose of the evaluation is to identify potential issues before submission and to help you improve manuscript quality.

3. Service scope

Each evaluation engagement includes:

  • Evaluation of one (1) completed manuscript by an independent, subject-specific academic review panel, generally 5 to 10 independent subject experts. The exact number is determined by the manuscript and discipline.
  • One (1) consolidated professional evaluation report covering, as applicable: overall assessment, major strengths and weaknesses, section-by-section feedback, methodology and statistical observations, literature review observations, discussion quality, novelty assessment, journal suitability comments, publication readiness, priority revisions, actionable recommendations, and an improvement roadmap.
  • A secure client account with order history, invoices, file storage, evaluation status tracking, and report downloads.

The engagement does not include:

  • Rewriting, editing, or revising the manuscript itself.
  • Journal submission on your behalf.
  • Data analysis, data collection, or generation of new results.
  • Any form of authorship contribution.

Additional services, such as manuscript improvement, methodology support, statistical analysis, scientific editing, journal selection, reviewer response preparation, and submission assistance, are separate engagements offered only if you request them, under their own terms.

4. Price, order process, and payment

  • The current price is US $79 per manuscript. This is an introductory rate; the price in force at the time of your order is the price you pay, and it is displayed clearly before checkout.
  • You provide your full name and email address and must accept these Terms, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy before payment.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. You receive a receipt by email.
  • On confirmed payment, an account is created for you automatically and a secure login link is sent to your email address. You then upload your manuscript through your account.
  • The evaluation timeline (typically 3 business days) begins when your complete manuscript is received, not at the time of payment.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is accepted at checkout. In summary: a full refund is available any time before you upload your manuscript; the fee becomes non-refundable once reviewer assignment has begun; and no refunds are available after your evaluation report has been delivered, as the service has then been provided in full.

6. Your responsibilities

  • You confirm that you have the right to share the manuscript and any supplementary files you upload.
  • You confirm the manuscript is your own work (or that of your author team) and does not infringe third-party rights.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details you provide and for keeping your account credentials confidential.

7. Confidentiality and intellectual property

Your manuscript remains your intellectual property at all times. We claim no rights in your work. Manuscripts are shared only with the reviewers assigned to your evaluation, under confidentiality obligations, and our workflow is NDA-ready on request. See the Privacy Policy and Reviewer Confidentiality Policy for details.

8. Reviewer confidentiality

Reviewer identities remain confidential. You receive reviewer expertise, academic specialization, qualification level, and years of experience, but not names, affiliations, or personal identities. This protects reviewer privacy and preserves the independence of the evaluation. It is a condition of the service and cannot be waived by request.

9. Delivery

The evaluation report is delivered through your secure dashboard, with email notification. Timelines communicated on the website are good-faith estimates. Complex manuscripts or specialist disciplines may require additional time, in which case we will keep you informed through your dashboard.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eldenhall's total liability arising from or related to an evaluation engagement is limited to the amount you paid for that engagement. We are not liable for journal decisions, publication delays, or any indirect or consequential losses.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Missouri. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order governs that order. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
